Information for international students
Training
The academic year at TUSUR starts in September and ends in June (01.09-30.06.). The training for the degree of Bachelor lasts 4 academic years; Specialist – 5 (5,5) academic years; Master– 2 academic years; Candidate of Science – 3 academic years, Doctor of Science – 5 academic years. All the faculties provide full-time training. Aspirantura can be either full-time, or part-time. The applicants are enrolled according to the results of entrance examinations (interview, test).

Letter of Invitation
To get the letter of invitation please send (by mail, fax or e-mail) to the Division of International Cooperation the following documents:
- the application form;
- the photocopy of the first two pages of your passport.
On consideration of your documents you will be sent the letter of invitation. Please find out the details of getting the visa in the Russian Embassy in your country. It takes about 2,5 months to get the letter of invitation, that is why you are recommended to send all the documents not later than 3 months before the beginning of the term.
Signing the agreement
To sign the agreement to study at TUSUR you should submit to the department of international studies of the chosen faculty the following documents:
- Filled application form;
- Academic documentation, equivalent the academic documentation of Russian Federation, with the academic degree, the full list of study courses and full list of grades, with a notarized translation into Russian:
- For Bachelor studies: certificate of school-leaving
- For Master studies: Bachelor’s or Specialist’s degree-certificate
- For Aspirantura(Candidate’s degree): Master’s or Bachelor’s certificate;
- Transcript (the document showing the list of the subjects with results) with a notarized translation into Russian;
- Certification (reference) showing the results of your test in the Russian language;
- Medical certificate, confirming that you do not have contra-indications for study in RF and on the faculty you are applying to;
- AIDS test result, confirming that you do not have AIDS, valid on the territory of Russian Federation;
- Passport with visa and migration card;
- Six photos size 3х4 cm.
The translation of the academic documents into Russian must be certified by the Russian Embassy or Consulate in the country where they were issued or notarized in Russia.
Documentation from foreign applicants for study at TUSUR should be sent: for Bachelor, Specialist and Master studies – till 20 September for Post-graduate studies – during the year
Your expenses can be estimated as follows:
- Faculty training fee - see the price list.
- Cost of accommodation in the university hall of residence - from $75 per month (according to the living conditions).
- Cost of medical certificate and AIDS test - $75.
- Health insurance or contract on medical service -from $150.
- Cost of evaluation of documentation on previous academic achievements -from $40.
- Translation of academic documentation -from $20
